WE ALL HAVE SOME KIND OF FUNNY WITHIN US

There are so many kinds of “funny.” I may not always be funny in other’s eyes, but if my kind of funny can brighten just one person’s day, that makes me kinda funny and absolutely makes my day..

I believe there is a misconception in regard with funny people. Some say funny people are hiding a deep down emotion issues from their past, so they mask their sorrow with being funny. I was one of those girls at one point in my life. Now, I have learned that I can be funny because I want to be funny. Making people smile or laugh out loud makes me happy.

Funny people bring joy to others and that joy and being funny can become contagious to others, especially if they are not a positive individual and believes their life is not worth smiling about, help those individuals if they want help. The saying is very true, negative people spew negativity to others whereas positive individuals spew an amazing positive atmosphere, which in time can help others change their outlook on life.

Yes, there are people who mask their emotions by being funny, but who are we to judge if someone is hiding deep down emotional baggage or if they are just down right funny. Embracing someone’s good humor makes that individual feel, as though they bring joy and are helping others, which could be exactly what that individual may need to get through their day.

Some people’s funny may not be another’s cup of tea. So what do we do when someone’s humor is not what makes us happy…..We smile and acknowledge their humor then walk away gracefully. We are all individualists, which makes us all unique and not everyone finds humor funny.

One last note of being funny and making others smile or laugh until they cry. There are places where being funny may not be appropriate and there is funny that can make others feel uncomfortable. Check your surroundings and make sure your humor is appropriate for where you are and who you are with. (Insert wink…)

The saying is true, “Laughter is the best Medicine.”

A doctor asks his patient angrily, “Why did you send my bill back, unopened, Mr. Gunrick?”

Mr Gunrick explains, “But doctor, it was you who told me I must avoid any upsets and stress!”
