Leave a Letter of What You Loved About Life

I volunteered at the Moose Club for a Celebration of Life. I was super busy. Yet, when the Celebration started, I listened to the words friends and family said about this amazing woman. She was a Moose member for a very long time.

She had so many family and friends show up. One person read something she wrote about when she passed. I did not know this individual. Yet, I knew she was loved, cherished, and funny. She loved each day she lived. This letter she wrote brought tears of joy to those who loved her.

I knew I was volunteering at this celebration for a lesson in life. I believe we learn something from everything we experience. I have only been to a couple of funerals. Yet, this one touched me so much and I didn’t even know her. I learned that writing something for my celebration of life can lighten everyone’s mood. People would know how everyone touched me. They would know how much I loved life and how much I cherished helping others enjoy life as well.

I learned such a valuable lesson. Let others know how much they mean to you, this is so important. Write a letter about the moments of your life that meant the most to you. Include your quirks and the silly moments that made you laugh out loud.
