You know the saying, “In a blink of an eye life changes.” This sentence rings true for everyone. One moment we are loving life and the next moment we can find ourselves facing serious life changes. You may lose a pet that meant the world to you, lose a family member, co-worker, or a friend without or with notice but you can never truly prepare yourself for these types of loses. Or, we can get some very scary medical information that will change our life forever.
I wrote this today and wanted to share it with all my readers…..
The Brain…..
The mind is a precious part of us all. One we do not pay attention to most of the time.
Our brain holds our secrets, our pain, and our memories, “most of the time” lol. Our brain runs our life. We can also persuade our brain to let us be happy or allow us to be sad while feeling in a dark place.
Our brain can protect us from past trauma memories and sometimes our brain throws us huge curveballs by allowing our eyes to see something that triggers our brain to torture us with bad memories.
Our brain is also such a beautiful part of us. The brain is so active while in our youth and then sometimes our brain becomes tired with age…..
Rest dear brain, You are our hero.

Alexis, this post brought extreme emotions from me today and I thank you. I watched my late husband fade away because of a horrific brain tumor and slowly (or maybe not so slowly) become someone I did not know and I died with him all over again. At the same time, I watched my mom physically fade away from the shear exhaustion of life yet her mind was still sharp until the end and I continued to gain strength and grow because of her. thank you for the memories, both good and bad.

Thank you Kate and I so understand your thoughts, I just loved your mom and her smile and determination, but most of all her kind spirit. You have a lot of her in you my dear friend.
