Don’t Judge or Compare

Life is hard enough without judgement from others or judging yourself. With the end

of the 2021 year upon us, most of us have a lot of pressure between work, family,

friends and most of all the pressure and judgement we put on ourselves.

How can we stop all this judgement on one another and ourselves? First of all…Think

before you judge or compare others. The saying is true….”You never know what

someone is going through.” I remember watching a television show where someone

with a lot of money or was really famous, dress up and acted to total opposite from

what they were. I was amazed at how differently they were treated. Funny how we

judge and compare people according to their education, financial status, and/or how

popular they are.

Why is this? Are we conditioned to believe if someone is higher up the ladder, they are

more intelligent? Do we judge or compare them differently than the person who so

wonderfully cleans the offices or restrooms? How about the dishwasher at a restaurant

or hotel, do you think twice about who washes the dishes you eat off of? Without the

dishwashers, you’d probably be eating off of paper plates….which….workers in a

factory make. I have a friend who is an executive chef, he once fired someone for being

disrespectful to the dishwasher.

We all deserve respect no matter one’s education, financial status or how popular they

are. I am asking everyone who reads my blog to please acknowledge everyone and help

those who need help without judgement. Do not compare yourself to others, but be the

best individual you can be without hurting someone. Lift others up, smile at strangers,

give compliments everyday to anyone, look in the mirror and be proud of who you are

and what you have accomplished.

Do not compare yourself to others, admire them for who they are and if you are

intrigued by who they are and what they do…..venture out and learn something new, tell

that person how much you admire them and what they do. If you want to be like

someone else, do the change for yourself…not for anyone else.
