Do you ever wonder why some people can do scary things without thinking twice
about it, or how people can walk into a group of people they don’t know and not feel
intimidated? How about those individuals who wake up and think to themselves, “It’s
going to be a great day,” even though they know they may have some obstacles they
will be facing. These are individuals who grew up to have confidence, they were taught
to face challenges head on, go in a room full of people they don’t know as if they have
known them all their life, and have learned that life is an adventure to live fully
without fear.
Life would be a lot easier if we taught our children to have confidence in themselves,
to believe they can achieve anything. Learning confidence involves knowing if you
want to achieve life goals and ambitions, you must learn what it takes to achieve these
goals and life ambitions. Having confidence means to learn about what it is you want
in life and going after it without negative feelings.
For instance, teaching a child to have confidence is to teach them, although they try to
do/accomplish something and fail, teach them to have the confidence to learn from
failing and have the confidence to try again without being embarrassed. Praise your
child for trying and give them the confidence to continue trying with pride.
Confidence builders:
Praising employees for great work, regardless how small or large….Everyone needs
praise at work to give them confidence.
Praise the ones you love giving them the confidence in knowing they are appreciated
and loved.
Tell anyone “thank you” for a job well done. Saying “thank you” to someone or saying
“I appreciate what you do” gives people confidence.
Believing in yourself is a confidence booster! Be proud of who you are and the
accomplishments you have made…big or small….
Being positive about situations that come up instead of thinking of all the negatives.
When you have confidence you are more likely to experience life with a positive
attitude and you don’t let life’s setbacks affect you as much, you find them more like a
challenge and life lesson, a hurdle you can get over with confidence.
Trust me when I say, if you compliment someone about a job well done, how they look,
or their accomplishments…not only will they build confidence, but you will also.
