How many times do you have to stop, think about what you are doing just to remind yourself….once again….that you need to change your mindset? This is how our life flows, we have to train our mind to enjoy the life we want. If we think about how we want to change, we visualize how we want to change, you can achieve what you want to change. It’s all in our mind and how we see the vision we desire.
I have to check in with myself numerous times a day because I lose track on what I want to achieve. We can be the best person we want to be as long as we desire the change strong enough. Our attitude has a strong pull on our mindset. Attitude is everything….believe that. If your mindset (attitude) believes you will fail, trust me when I say, you will probably fail. Being positive is such an amazing mindset, and one that will help make your life a more pleasurable one.
Self-check is a daily event. Journaling helps you improve your mindset, review your journaling often to view where you would like to change your mindset. This is why nutritionists ask their clients to write down what they eat when they eat it. This shows you where you need to change your mindset. For instance, I am trying to lose weight (a life-long process I believe). I went to have lunch with a girlfriend I have not seen in years. My mindset totally went out the window, I gave in when I should have checked in with my mindset and realized how happy I would have been had I stayed on my nutritional program. I was not in the right mindset and I didn’t check in with my thoughts, I gave in.
A positive mindset allows an individual to enjoy life to its fullest. With a positive mindset we feel optimistic and view challenges as learning experiences. How many of us start a new job and think to ourselves, “I’ll never learn this computer system.” We become stressed out, which causes us to not enjoy the learning process. I understand it is difficult at times to be positive when learning a new job, but if your mindset is a positive one, you will enjoy learning the system and sooner than later you will have accomplished mastering the computer system and feel good about your new position.
In today’s world, a positive mindset is important for not only your wellbeing, but also for the wellbeing of others around you. When we believe that nothing is going right in our life, we share those feelings with others because we want validation for our feelings, we also want people to reach out to us with positive feedback. You need to be your cheerleader, you need to validate your feelings and change your mindset to think about all the positives that could be happening to you, or the positive events that have happened to you already in your life.
One amazing way to help change your mindset is to go on social media and spew out positive affirmations, lift people up, stop posting things that make others feel bad, but helps others feel hope and inspiration. When you are positive, others will be positive and this spreads an amazing contagiousness of positivity.
