Respect

Wouldn’t it be an amazing world if we all respected one another? The dictionary states respect is a deep admiration for someone or something. Can you imagine if we all had respect for others and their property. There would be no war, riots, graffiti, or fighting with people. Yes, we can disagree with one another or have different beliefs, but do we really need to argue over who is right or wrong? If we respect one another, that means we admire their ideas and/or thoughts. You don’t have to agree with their ideas or thoughts, but you don’t have to be a jerk to them if you don’t agree.

Having different thoughts with others is a learning adventure in life. Can you imagine if we all believed the same thing? We would not learn from one another nor would we venture out to learn about others. Learning from one another is respect. We shouldn’t have a closed mind when we listen to others who believe differently, but should learn from one another and respect one other’s thoughts and beliefs.

Before learning about myself and learning to balance out my life’s emotions, I tended to get a tad irritated when someone didn’t agree with me or told me I was wrong. Now…, I have a deeper thinking process and I learn from my actions. I enjoy hearing other’s difference of opinions, and reasoning behind their thoughts, this helps keep my mind learning and expanding my knowledge.

Respect is a loss art. I hope that those who read my blog take into deep consideration to listen to others differences and grow from them rather than disrespect them. The changes in our world begin with each one of us. If you believe you cannot respect someone’s actions or what they are saying….walk away with maturity, as arguing or disagreeing only produces frustration and stress. Agree to disagreeing takes practice and with this practice you gain strength and confidence.

Respect is one of the greatest expressions of Self-worth and Love
