We Are Our Own Worst Enemy

How many of us believe this topic. Yes…my hand is raised high. I sabatosh myself all the time…..ok….back in the day I did it all the time, now I recognize this sabatoshing and look in the mirror and give myself a talking to. I then become my new/old best friend. That person in the mirror will listen without talking back to me and I love it. That girl in the mirror really knows how to take in every positive encouraging word I tell her and she runs with those words.

We don’t want to be an enemy to ourselves. We want to love ourselves and trust ourselves. We want to feel loved, and with the craziness 2020 brought us last year, we truly need to feel the love. That love needs to start with us, we have to love ourselves so we can spread that love to others.

I have made instant decisions most of my life and although I have sometimes regretted them, I still learned amazing lessons and wouldn’t change a thing. Trust me when I say…..my friends know I love a good adventure. No matter how old I get, I will try new adventures. I must admit though, I am a tad more cautious with these amazing instant thought processed adventures, but I still love adventures.

Never criticize yourself by the decisions you made, you know those “I shouldn’t have, I should have, I wish I would have, If only I would have” thoughts? Learn from your actions and adventures. We all know we can’t change our pasts. We criticise ourselves sometimes because some things we did just didn’t turn out how we planned, and that is A OK. Don’t let your past hold you back from amazing adventures that could make AMAZING memories. When we talk to ourselves, talk more positive than talking about the reasons why you can’t. We can do anything that we put our mind to it…..if we put our mind into it 100%.

Be your own best friend enjoying life’s adventures and learn from those adventures. Don’t be your worst enemy who looks in the mirror talking negative to yourself. We are all beautiful, handsome, courageous, adventurous, brave, strong, and most of all…..we are loving. Each morning I look in the mirror and smile telling myself, “It’s going to be a great day….You’ve got this Lex, you are in control of your day allowing it to be good or bad, I choose good.”

Life Lesson: No one can have a great day with negative thoughts.

Trust the Journey and Life Lessons,

Alexis
