Hi everyone….I know I have not written in awhile, but I have moved, got a new job, and am making some amazing life changes at the age of sixty-one (Insert huge smile here). I am so smiling while I write this blog. I had no idea what I wanted to talk about and then…boom…I laughed as I thought about my life and how exciting it is.
Many of my friends are either thinking of retiring, are retired, or like me, are total workaholics who love what they do and have no intention of retiring anytime soon. I love working and if you’ve been following my blog, you know this. I felt pressured to write to you all while I was in the midst of moving, changing jobs, and doing what I love to do…enjoying life. I love writing my blog, but I don’t think anyone should feel pressured to do something they love.
If you feel pressured…..trust me when I say….think about what your doing and why you feel pressured. I talked with a girlfriend today and we talked about what other people think….”is best for us.” This is putting pressure on you. Life shouldn’t feel like pressure….life shouldn’t be all or nothing.
I want to share what happened to me today, which made my heart feel full of love and passion. I received an email stating I had another person start following my blog. Did I feel pressured to write…heck no…My heart filled with so much love and compassion, which gave me the message that I wanted to write again. This was not pressure….this was my heart feeling love from others.
Do what makes your heart beat an extra beat. Do what makes you smile while doing it. Do something that makes what to have that positive memory. Don’t feel pressured, which makes you question what you are doing, but do what makes you smile and love life to its fullest. If you are doing something that makes you question why you are doing it…..find a different plan that makes you smile when you think of it, and believe in it so much that you pursue this happiness.
Don’t let life’s pressures make you boil over….take a different road that makes you so excited to continue on your journey. I want to thank everyone who is subscribed to my blog, which fulfills my heart with joy and positivity knowing I am making a difference.
Trust the Lessons and Life Journey,
Alexis
